I’ve just finished Six Feet Under. I’ve repeated the last scene three times and now I’m sat alone in the dark contemplating how I ever went this long without seeing such a perfect show. I don’t really know how to put it into words, but the ending was so right.

Back to the Looper
Remember that scene in Back to the Future where Marty is slowly being erased from his timeline, Looper does the exact same thing to one of its characters but successfully makes it one of the scariest things I’ve seen in a while.
After the let down of Prometheus 2012 has finally been given the science fiction film it deserves. A brilliantly realized and beautifully shot future America with retro guns, time travel and Jeff Daniels. The frantic first half of the film is paired with a slower paced but far more intense second half that compliments Young Joe’s (Joseph ‘Hollywood is now my bitch’ Gordon-Levitt) character becoming more mature and heroic.
A surprisingly intelligent take on the time travel yarn, I strongly recommend this film.
